THE MYSTIC FILES
Yinglong (応龍, onyomi: Ōryū) is a mythological Chinese dragon-like beast. Depending on the source, it is seen as one of the four divine beasts protecting the Yellow Emperor, a divine rain maker, or as the chief of the Four Dragons (Red Dragon, Green Dragon,White Dragon, Black Dragon). The dragon is also known to have once clashed blades with Chi You or Nuwa.

Shennong (神農, onyomi: Shinō) is one of the Three Divine Sovereigns who is reputed to have ruled ancient China. Depending on the source, he ruled after Fuxi or Nuwa. He is renowned for cultivating various plants and is considered one of the cultural fathers of medicine. According to legend, his love for agriculture caused his downfall. He was said to have been poisoned by toxic plants he had gathered.

Seimei Abe is a renowned onmyouji of the Heian period. Using his various divinations and predictions, he became a valuable fortuneteller for the imperial court and is often seen as one of the pioneers in the craft. He is immortalized in fiction as an occult sorcerer who accurately pinpoints the whereabouts of malevolent supernatural beings.

Nezha (哪吒, onyomi: Nata) is a Chinese mythological figure who is accepted as one of Li Jing's sons. He is famously known for assisting Jiang Ziya's war against the Shang Dynasty. Proving himself as an esteemed warrior, he was granted passage into the heavens as an anointed prince. Nezha later clashed with Sun Wukong and tamed the mighty Bull King.

Susano'o (素戔嗚) is a Japanese mythological deity who is best known as a mischievous storm god. After he was exiled from the heaven, he descended to the middle land and killed the gigantic serpent beast, Yamata-no-Orochi. He ruled as the lord of Izumo until he begrudgingly passed the right to his son-in-law, Oukuninushi.

Sanzang is one of the honorific titles given to a monk known as Chen Hui. He is best known for traveling to India and influencing the acceptance of Buddhism into China. His adventures were romanticized in one of the Four Classics of Chinese Literature,Journey to the West. Due to the vague nature of Sanzang's gender within the original Japanese rendition of the story, it's not uncommon for a female Sanzang to appear in Japanese created media.
The monk's Warriors Orochi counterpart is known as a female who is called Sanzang in English and Sanzang Fashi (三蔵法師, onyomi: Sanzōhoshi, the full title) in Japanese.

Nuwa (onyomi: Joka) is a serpent goddess in Chinese mythology who is the sister and wife of Fu Xi. She is often accredited to have given the gift of earth and rope-making to humanity. Nuwa is also known to have repaired the heavens once it tore away from the land, effectively healing the sky and the earth itself.

Fu Xi (onyomi: Fukki) is often known as one of the Three Sovereigns in Chinese history, or one of the lords who started civilization. His reign was said to have prospered like no other before it. In Chinese mythology, he is known as a half-human, half-serpent deity who is Nuwa's brother and husband. Within various mythological tales, nearly all divine beings kowtow before him and treat him with the highest pinnacle of respect.

Taigong Wang (太公望, onyomi: Taikōbō) is one of the names for a famous Chinese minister named Lu Shang. He is famous for his contributions in destroying the Shang Dynasty. Years after his death, he has been celebrated as a masterful strategist who is called one of the greatest strategists to ever grace China, sharing the title with Zhang Liang
